The Occidental Grand Cozumel offers 252 guestrooms in three-story colonial-villa-style buildings without elevators that are colored yellow and have red-tile roofs and wrought-iron balconies. Each villa is built around a central open-air garden. Rooms have marble floors and feature live plants, Mexican ceramics, and primitive-style paintings. Bathrooms contain stall showers and separate tubs. Mini-bars come stocked with beer, soft drinks, and water. Ceiling fans offer cooling alternatives to rooms' air conditioning.
Located in two villas separated from others, Royal Club rooms include DVD/CD players, dial-up Internet access, bathroom scales and makeup mirrors, pillow menu, turndown service, bathrobes, jetted tubs in addition to stall showers, and room service from early morning to late night.
